Deben? so where is that then? The Deben is a river that flows through
Woodbridge, and joins the sea between Bawdsey, and Felixstowe. To the south
is Ipswich and Colchester, To the West is Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge
and further to the north is Norwich. All of these places are in rotary district 1080.
On the hill
overlooking Woodbridge is the Sutton Hoo burial, where an Anglo Saxon
ship was dragged from the Deben and filled with treasure. To the north of
the river is Rendlesham Forest - site of alledged UFO activity, and the
location of Bentwaters, the air base which was to be blown up in Frederick
Forsyth's book "The Fourth Protocol"
